| Above: Our guide shows us the cat of nine tails. Nine strands of twine with 9 threads in each stand and nine knots for each strand. It is a whip. See the red bag on the right...it was used to keep the whip in so that you could not see the blood of the last person who had been whipped! oooooooh, how horrible! | General sleeping quarters for the crew, very cramped indeed. Also, most of the areas below deck were low and so I could only remain upright if I was shuffling along on my adult knees - ugggg! Only the little kids could move freely....yes keep tabs on two little boys on my knees was not much fun!
